 Honda's Founder, Soichiro Honda, had always had an interest in anything mechanical at a young age.  He was was always interested in cars, however after WWII his focus shifted towards motorcycles.  1959 Honda became the leading manufacturer in motorcycles world wide.  The first Honda motorcycle, the Dream, was introduced 1949.
