Supermarine Spitfire MK1 Limited Edition Print

The Battle of Britain began in July of 1940 and lasted till October 1940.  This was Germany's attempt to gain air superiority over England and possibly have the nation surrender.  Germany targeted coastal shipping convoys and ports, aircraft manufacturing facilities and military infrastucture, and lastly areas of political significance and restored using a terror bombing strategy known as the "blitz."  Germany's failure to control the skies over England during this time is considered to be a crucial turning point in the war that would have an major effect on both sides till the end of the war.

Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, "This was their finest hour."  Winston Churchill, weeks before the Luftwaffe could be heard flying over England

This print showcases Supermarine Spitfire Mk1 which was instrumental in defending England against Germany's air raids during the 1940's.  The  Spitfire kept adapting throughout the World War II to stay competitive with enemy aircraft, full fill other duties such as reconnaissance and light bombing missions.

If you are passionate about history, World War Two, airplanes, or significant battles in history this print belongs on your wall. Having artwork on your walls is great way to make your bachelor pad look refined, and you surround yourself with art that you have an interest in.
